SIOUX CITY | Norma Jean Slavik, 86, of Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Touchstone Healthcare Community.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online Condolences may be offered at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Norma was born June 11, 1929, in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Welton and Lavada (Brandon) Williams.

She married Robert Morris in 1944 in Norman, Okla. The couple later divorced.

Norma married Frank Slavik in 1957 in LaVerne, Minn. The couple moved their family to Sioux City in 1957.

Norma was a caregiver. Her favorite thing was rocking a baby, and taking care of and loving children.

Norma never met a stranger. She was loved, and returned love equally to those she met throughout her life, including the staff at Touchstone Healthcare Community. She loved the outdoors, and will be lovingly remembered.

Survivors include her sons, Cliff (Sheila) Morris of Urbandale, Iowa, Gary (Annie) Morris of Oklahoma, Lewis Morris of Florida, and Al (Lisa) Slavik of Missouri; eight grandchildren; and niece, Jane Hemmingstad and her family of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; grandson, Paul Morris; granddaughter, Cassandra Morris; daughter, Terri Sulzbach; sister, Shirley Daniel; and brothers, Steve and Jerry Williams.
