10 February 2016SIOUX CITY | Eric Wade Nicholson, 57, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at a Sioux City hospital.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Jim Wood officiating. Visitation will be noon until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Eric Wade Nicholson was born on Nov. 5, 1958, in Locust Grove, Okla., the son of Eugene and Nola (Littlefield) Nicholson. He married Darlene Steele on Sept. 5, 2002, in Vermillion, S.D. Mr. Nicholson was employed as a truck driver for many years.
When not driving truck, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, baseball, classic automobiles and most of all spending time with his family.
Mr. Nicholson is survived by his wife, Darlene Nicholson of Sioux City; son, Jason Carley and his wife, Laura of Sioux City; daughter, Jennifer Williams and her husband, Andy of Kellyville, Okla.; brother, Landon Nicholson and his wife, Lorene of Zapla, Texas; and six grandchildren, Jayden, Belle, Hunter, Chase, Alyiah and Kaleb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Bobby Jo Klinetobe; and sister, Karen Nicholson.
