SIOUX CITY | Beverly M. "Bev" Jolin, 72, of Sioux City died Monday, Oct. 13, 2014, at a local hospital following a brief illness.

Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave., with the Rev. Tim Miller of First Evangelical Free Church officiating. Private family graveside services will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home. Bev was born on Feb. 26, 1942, in Primghar, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Edith (Skogsberg) Taylor. She moved to Sioux City with her family as a young child. Her first employment was with American Mastercraft Cleaners.

On June 1, 1960, she married Dona E. "Don" Jolin in Elk Point, S.D. The couple moved to Des Moines, where she was a stay-at-home mother for their daughters, Kim, Tracy and Donnette. The family returned to Sioux City in 1970. After her children were older, she worked at Sunkist Bakery from 1978 to 2000 and part-time at the Discovery Shop for several years.

Bev enjoyed quilting, crocheting, gardening and working in the yard with her flowers. Most of all, Bev was passionate about her family. She had a deep love and commitment to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Don; three daughters and their husbands, Kim Keilman and Rob, Tracy Vander Wilt and Marc, and Donnette Twinn and Walter, all of Sioux City; seven grandchildren, John and Emily Keilman, Wade and Julia Vander Wilt, and Brandon, Riley and Sydney Hamilton; siblings, Jack (Karen) Taylor of Sioux City, Tony (Billie) Taylor of Sioux Falls, S.D., Dee (Kenneth) Vanderlinden, of Sioux City, Darlene (Don) Schwebach of Sioux City, Donna (Don) Bourrett of Sioux City, Lou Ann Taylor (Earl Derochie) of North Sioux City, and Cindy (Jr.) Whitmore of Sioux City; a sister-in-law, LaDonna Taylor of Des Moines; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three siblings, Carroll Taylor, Harry Taylor and Darrell (Mary) Taylor.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Salvation Army.
