SIOUX CITY | Lois Mae (White) Drake, 90, of Stuart, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, passed away peacefully Sept. 9, 2014, at Stuart Community Care Center.

A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Stuart-Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church in Stuart. Private family graveside services will be in Jefferson Center Cemetery, rural Adair County, Iowa. Arrangements are under the direction of Johnson Family Funeral Home, Stuart Chapel.

Lois was born on Sept. 6, 1924, in Sioux City, to Michael Horatio and Ella Van Putten White. She graduated from Central High School and Morningside College. She married Leonard Leroy Drake on March 16, 1947.

Survivors include her children, Michael Leonard (Kathleen) Drake, Nancy Ellen (Jay) Wood, Ruth Marie Strathman (Paul Fredrick), Elizabeth Ann (Daniel) Cook, Marshall Warren (Connie) Drake, Richard Dale (Vicki) Drake, and William Dean (Audrey) Drake; sister, Ellen Jean White; three brothers-in-law, Garry (Jane) Drake, David (Kathy) Drake, and Wesley (Nona) Drake; sister-in-law, Mary Margaret (Maggie) Drake; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons.
