SIOUX CITY | Thomas E. Prince, 67, of Sioux City died on Oct. 7, 2014, in an accidental fall at his home.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mayflower Congregational Church, with the Rev. Dan Lozer officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Tom was born in Cherokee, Iowa, and moved at the age of 2 to Sioux City, where he lived, except for short periods of time, all of his life. He was a graduate of Central High School and Western Iowa Tech Community College. After working at a variety of jobs, he retired in 2009.

As a boy, Tom enjoyed spending time with his extended family, aunts, uncles and cousins, and traveling with his parents and brother. He had a lifelong love of travel. Tom liked animals and always mourned the loss of his dog, Sasha. He also liked gardening, cooking, and socializing with his many friends. Tom loved his family. His loving care of both of his parents in their last illnesses will always be remembered by those who knew him.

Thomas is survived by his best friend, Rick Baxter; his brother, David, of Lake Elmo, Minn.; nephews, Michael of Seattle, Wash., and Peter of Brooklyn, N.Y.; several cousins; and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Jan Prince.
