SIOUX CITY | Stanley C. Rhinehart, 85, of Ellenton, Fla., formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, after a brief illness.

Stan was born in Wausau, Wis., on June 26, 1928, the son of W. Stanley and Lucile Rhinehart. They moved to Sioux City in 1932 He spent most of his life in Sioux City, graduating from East High and attending Morningside College. He was a World War II veteran.

He married Penelope Cacavas in June 1951 in Aberdeen, S.D. They had three children, Katherine, William and Grant.

Stan is survived by his wife, Penny of Ellenton; his daughter, Kathi Bahler (Steve); a son, William of Ellenton; four grandchildren, Heather Gill (Charles), Mary Everist, Britni Rhinehart and Nicholas Rhinehart; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Richard Rhinehart (Jean).

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Grant Rhinehart.

Grant Mathew Rhinehart formerly of Sioux City died on Aug. 16, 2013, in Florida.

He was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on July 29, 1967. He was an actor, singer, and a big animal lover.

He is survived by his mother, Penelope Rhinehart; his sister, Kathi Bahler; his brother, William Rhinehart; his three nieces; and one nephew.

He preceded his father, Stanley Rhinehart in death.
