Joseph Penn Died at Age of 90 Years

Senility Sunday caused the death of Joseph Penn, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. M.C. Peters, 3924 Third Avenue. Mr. Penn was 90 years of age.

The deceased was born in New York. In early manhood he moved to Cadis, O. and in 1883 he came to Iowa,, settling at Shelby.

Surviving Mr. Penn are four daughters, Mrs. D.C. Smith, Sioux City, Mrs. C.L. Williams, Malvern, Ia., Mrs. Luther Long, Jonesborough, Ark., and Mrs. Peters, and one son C.W. Penn. Correctionville, Ia.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. today at the residence, Rev. F.C. Taylor officiating. Interment will be made in a Shelby, Ia. Cemetery.

W. Harry Christy, undertaker, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
