James Haley, about 80, died Friday at Cherokee, Ia., where he was employed as a painter in the state hospital.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 10 a. m. at Cherokee. Burial was at 2 p. m. in Floyd cemetery here.

Mr. Haley had lived here most of his life. He was an uncle of W. L. Haley of Sioux City.

Survivors include his widow, Viola, and a sister, Mrs. R. M. Candee of Des Moines.
