Elmer R. Kline 1863 - 1938

Elmer R. Kline, 75, widely known retired bookkeeper, died in his home at 2423 Pierce Wednesday morning after a long illness.

The West funeral home is in charge.

Born in Espy, Pa., May 7, 1863, Mr. Kline had lived in Sioux City since 1890. He first was a bookkeeper for the Bogue packing company, later working in that capacity for Tolerton and Warfield, Gliman's bank, the Merchants bank and the First National bank. He retired several years ago.

Mr. Kline was a member of the First Christian church.

He and Elizabeth Everitt were married in Hazleton, Pa., in 1907.

Surviving, besides the widow, are a sister, Mrs. Josie Billhime of Espy, and a nephew, Fred Billhime, also of Espy.
