E. H. Hedrick 1870 - 1946

Funeral services for E. H. Hedrick, 76, resident of the Mapleton community who died at a hospital here Thursday morning after a brief illness, will be held in the Methodist church at Mapleton at 1 p. m. Saturday. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Hedrick was born in West, Virginia April 5, 1870. In 1893 he married Mary Hedrick. They moved to the Mapleton community in 1896 and since had lived there continuously.

For 20 years Mr. Hedrick farmed. He was janitor at the Mapleton school for 20 years until he retired five years ago.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Fonda Nap and Mrs. Anna Sims of Mapleton and Mrs. Belle Henry of Ludden, N. D., and two sons, F. L. Hedrick of Sioux City and Lyle Hedrick of Chicago.

One son preceded his father in death.

The Byers funeral home at Mapleton is in charge of arrangements
