5 April 1946Ira William Henshaw, 76, Broken Kettle road, a Sioux City resident since 1891, died Thursday afternoon at the home of a son, 4221 Tyler street, after a three-month illness.
Mr. Henshaw was born November 29, 1869, at Stevens Point, Wis. He went to Missouri with his parents when an infant and in 1891 he came to Sioux City. He was married here the same year and had resided here since. He was a member of Wesley Methodist church.
Survivors are the widow, Mary Blanche; three daughters, Mrs. W. Perrett of Sioux City, Mrs. Frank Newkirk of Madison, Wis., and Mrs. Lee Fehrman of Capitola, Cal.; five sons, Cecil D., Basil D., Delbert. J. and Clayton W., all of Sioux City, and M. A. of Spokane, Wash.; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1:30 p. m. Saturday in Wesley Methodist church. Rev. Victor Schuldt will officiate. Interment Will be in Memorial Park cemetery. The Nelson-Berger funeral home has charge of arrangements.
The pallbearers will be George Becker, Oscar Dean, Theo Yeager, Anthony Friedman, Nelson Dagle and John Tucker.
