25 September 2009DANBURY, Iowa - James J. "Jim" Mohrhauser, 57, of Cheyenne, Wyo., formerly of Danbury, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2009 in Cheyenne.
Cremation has taken place at Cheyenne Memorial Gardens under the direction of Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
James Mohrhauser was born Feb. 7, 1952, in Battle Creek, Iowa, and had lived in Cheyenne for the past 10 months with prior residence in Danbury, Iowa. Mr. Mohrhauser retired from Qwest with 31 years of service as Chief Information Security Official.
He enjoyed road racing, car shows, researching genealogy and smoking fine cigars. He also enjoyed working on computers.
Mr. Mohrhauser is survived by his wife, Patty D. Mohrhauser, whom he married Aug. 31, 1991; a daughter, Michele Simpson of Frederick, Colo.; two brothers, Robert Mohrhauser of Danbury and Thomas Mohrhauser of Mapleton, Iowa; three sisters, Mae Jean Barron of Sioux City, Laura Danaher of Loveland, Colo., and Rosie Wenger of Danbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert J. and Adeline (Knobbe) Mohrhauser and a brother, William Mohrhauser, who lost his life serving his country in Vietnam.
