WHITING, Iowa -- Kimberly Ann (Thomas) Trobaugh, 45, of Whiting died Saturday, March 31, 2007, at Burgess Health Center in Onawa, Iowa, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Whiting Christian Church in Whiting, with Rusty Hedger, Minister, officiating. Burial will be in Sloan Cemetery at Sloan, Iowa. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Rush Family Care Service in Onawa.

Kimberly was born July 12, 1961, at Sioux City, the daughter of Richard and Patricia (Lander) Thomas. She graduated from Westwood Community School in 1979.

She married Mark Steinhoff in 1980 at Hornick United Methodist Church at Hornick, Iowa. In June, 1999, she married Todd Trobaugh at Whiting Christian Church. Kim was employed at Nebraska State Bank in South Sioux City and later transferred to Nebraska-Iowa State Bank at Hornick. She also had been a manager and caller at Winna-bingo and later was a sales supervisor at MCI until ill health forced her retirement.

She was a member of Whiting Christian Church and was an avid supporter of Jerry Lewis Telethon, Cancer Society and Multiple Sclerosis. She enjoyed following her children in their various activities, especially sporting events. She enjoyed having her grandkids at her house and around her, playing various games.

Survivors include her husband, Todd of Whiting; three daughters, Ashley and her husband, Charlie Hagestrom of Whiting, Cori Steinhoff of Sioux City and Bobbi Jo Steinhoff of Iowa City, Iowa and her special friend, Chris McCarthy; a son, Tanner Steinhoff of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren, Braiden, Madison and Noah Hagestrom and Kayden and Kaylee Solma; her parents, Richard and Jane Thomas of Salix, Iowa; a brother and his wife, Mike and Cindy Thomas of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a sister and her husband, Janean and Rick Zortman of Whiting; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patty; grandparents, Stub and Leola Lander and Bud and Doris Thomas; her first husband, Mark Steinhoff; an uncle, Bennie Lander; and a niece, Sarah Steinhoff.
