John F. Hungerford, 69, of Omaha, formerly of Sioux City died Sunday, March 3, 2002, at Bergan Mercy Medical Center in Omaha.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Leo Catholic Church in Omaha, with the Rev. William D. Bond officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. There will he a wake service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Heafey-Heafey-Hoffman-Dworak-Cutler Westcenter Chapel in Omaha.

Mr. Hungerford was born Dec. 6, 1932, in Sioux City, the son of John and Florence (Goergen) Hungerford.

He married Donna R. Pierson. He was employed as an over-the-road truck driver with Tractor Supply Co.

He was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; sons, Michael and Mark, both of Omaha, and Scott and his wife, Carol of Gillette, Wyo.; daughters, Patricia Nelson of Aberdeen, S.D., Shelley and her husband, Keith Schuttler of South Wayne, Wis., Sharon and her husband, Jim Stastny, Jennifer and her husband, Mike Wall, and Lori and her husband, Floyd Harvey, all of Omaha, and Julie and her husband, Don Earlywine of Abilene, Texas; 19 grandchildren; sisters, Mary Adams of Grand Island, Neb., Patricia Sidles of Lincoln, Neb., Delores Nelson of South Sioux City, and Arlene Whitaker of Platte City, Mo.: and brothers, Bill of Olathe, Kan., and Dick of South Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Earlywine; a son-in-law, David Nelson; his parents; and a sister.

Memorials may be directed to Thomas Fitzgerald Veterans Home in Omaha.
