Almina "Angie" Anderson, 82, of Sioux City died Saturday, March 2, 2002, at a Sioux City retirement home.

Memorial services will he 7 p.m. Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. The body was cremated. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in St. Paul, Minn. There is no visitation.

Mrs. Anderson was born April 28, 1919, in Rock Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Nellie (Overes) DeWitt. She married Glen M. Anderson in 1942 in Sioux City. He died in 1975 in Rochester, Minn. She moved to Minnesota at the age of one and a half, and later came to Sioux City, where she has lived for more than 30 years. She worked at Karlton's Men's Clothiers.

She was active at the Siouxland Senior Center. She enjoyed golf and played at South Ridge and Sun Valley.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Survivors include a brother, Eugene DeWitt of St. Paul; a sister, Mary Wiedenfeld of Fort Dodge, Iowa; many nieces and nephews; a granddaughter, Julie; and a great-granddaughter.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Richard; a sister, Elizabeth Parks; and seven brothers, Leo, Bert, Joe. Ted, Vess, Andrew and William.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland.
