Julia L. Comeau, 86, of Sioux City died Saturday March 2, 2002, at a Sioux City care center.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, with Chaplain Mike Inman officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Comeau was born Aug. 19, 1915, in Sioux City, the daughter of Edward H. and Mabel V. (Huffman) Hollenbeck. She married Charles C. "Chuck" Comeau on March 11, 1946, in Ponca, Neb. He died Nov, 29, 1983 in Sioux City. She was employed at the Egg Kenneling Plant and Armour Packing Company.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Jerry and Janet Comeau of South Sioux City, Jim and Cheryl Comeau of Waldo, Fla., and Ray Mace and Candy of Torrance, Calif.; a daughter and her husband, Jan and Dean Ohlerking of Mitchell, S.D.; a sister, Alice Hummel of Colorado; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Darlene; and two brothers, Ralph and Elmer Hollenbeck.

Memorials in her name may be directed to Hospice of Siouxland.
