6 December 2009SIOUX CITY -- Gertrude O. Tincher, 99, of Louisville, Ky., formerly of Sioux City, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009, at a Louisville hospital.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel in Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Le Mars, Iowa; Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Gertrude was born March 30, 1910, in Norfolk, Neb., the daughter of Frank and Anna (Ruland) Hitt. She lived most of her life in Sioux City.
She married Don Tincher. He preceded her in death. Gertrude lived the past several years in Louisville under the care of her son and his wife, Raymond and Ruth Lane. Gertrude was very outgoing and enjoyed partaking in the social activities of the nursing home. Gertrude was very kind and gentle and will be missed by many.
Survivors include her son and his wife, Raymond and Ruth Lane of Louisville; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a grandson.
