AURORA, CO - Eldon Lawrence "Pidge" Webb, 72, of Aurora, Colorado, died at his home on July 28, 2006.

Pidge was born to Esther and Eldon Webb on March 6, 1934, at Quimby, Iowa. He grew up in the Danbury area where he graduated from high school in 1952 from the Danbury Public School System. He joined the Air Force shortly thereafter and retired after serving his country for 20 years.

Janet Meyer, of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, became his wife in Tijuana, Baja, Mexico, on August 24, 1957.

After his retirement from the Air Force, Pidge and Jan settled in Aurora to raise their six daughters. Pidge worked building precision instruments for jet aircraft and became an avid hunter and fisherman.

The happy couple was inseparable from the time they were married and loved each other deeply with their dying breaths. Surrounded by her loved ones, his beloved Jan passed away on May 9, 2006, at their home after a fervent battle with cancer.Pidge and Jan were cremated, and their ashes were buried together at Fort Logan National Cemetery at Denver, Colorado, with full military honors.

Pidge is survived by his mother, Esther Mohrhauser of Danbury; two sisters, Bonnie and her husband Richard Sohm of Lead, South Dakota, and Mary Mohrhauser of Waukee, Iowa; two brothers, Mike and his wife Carol Mohrhauser of Ida Grove, Iowa, and Rex Mohrhauser of Onawa, Iowa. The children left to cherish their parents memory are Denise, Michelle, September, Dana, Donna, and Trina and their spouses. Also among the remaining survivors are several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Pidge was preceded in death by his father, Eldon Webb and his step-father Bernard Mohrhauser and his sister Alberta Leisinger.
