10 June 2013SIOUX CITY | Mae Elvera (Norr) Morgan, 81, of Sioux City died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Whispering Creek Assisted Living in Sioux City.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Luke’s Church in Emerson, Neb., with the Rev. Gretchen Ritola will be officiating. Visitation will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home of Emerson.
Mae was born May 28, 1932 in Emerson, Neb., to Conrad and Ruth (Lute) Norr. She attended school in Emerson for a short time and graduated from East High School in Sioux City. In 1980, Mae was living in California and was working as an office manager for Davis-LeGrand Wholesale Grocers, where she met Glenn Morgan. Mae married Glenn on Feb. 10, 1998 in Fountain, Colo.
She enjoyed the outdoors especially feeding the birds and the many cats she took in. She had two dogs who she loved very much. Mae moved to Sioux City four years ago after retiring in Fountain, Colo. She enjoyed living in Colorado.
Mae is survived by her sisters, "Inis" Crawford and Melva (Richard) Janssen; her friend, Beverly Koson; her stepdaughters, Lynn Ann (Dick) Pearson and Donna (Gil) Pharris; and many nieces and nephews.
Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn; her parents; two sisters, Bernice Boyer and Leona Kay; brother-in-laws, Vernon Boyer, Gene Crawford and Richard Kay; and a brother, Marvin Lute.
Memorials are suggested to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Emerson.
