15 November 2009SIOUX CITY -- Albert J. Howard, 81, of Sioux City died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Evergreen Cemetery at Walthill, Neb., with the Rev. Donald Wood officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.
Albert was born on Jan. 25, 1928, in Sioux City, the son of Albert R. and Florence (Logue) Howard. He attended Grant School in Sioux City. Albert has been with his significant other, Bonnie Harbeck since 1978. Albert worked at various jobs in Sioux City over the years. He worked at Dividend Gas, Chesterman's and most recently, as a driver at Siouxland Auto Auction.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Albert was of the Methodist faith.
Albert is survived by his significant other, Bonnie Harbeck; his sister, Joni Broome of Georgia; a stepson, Russell Rodman of Sioux City; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; his daughter, Julie A. Howes; and a sister, Florence Vohn.
