Nancy Vierow, 71, of Gahanna, Ohio, formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, July 24, 2006, at Grant Hospital in Ohio.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel in Gahanna, with Pastors John Taranto and Pat Melcher officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Ohio. Visitation with the family present will be 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Nancy was born April 24, 1935, in Ames, Iowa. She was a 1956 graduate of St. Joseph Mercy School of Nursing in Sioux City.

She retired in 1989 after 25 years as a registered nurse and nursing supervisor at Children's Hospital.

She was a member of Christ the King Church at Polaris and the Reynoldsburg Red Hat Society. She was a volunteer at Victory Mission.

Survivors include her loving and devoted husband of 48 years, Paul Vierow; a daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Jeff Nowlin; a brother Bill (Donna) Steen; two aunts, Virginia (Tom) Nicholson and Marilyn Vierow; an uncle, Ben (Virginia) Mason; and other nieces, nephews, cousins and special pets, Chrissie and Tanzy.

She was preceded in death by parents, Mariam and Bill Steen.
