HORNICK, Iowa -- Tucker Ken Hammond, 5-year old son of Randy and Cami Hammond of Hornick, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Morningside Bible Church in Sioux City, with the Rev. Terry Embke officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, Iowa. A luncheon will be served at Lawton Presbyterian Church following the graveside services. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Tucker was born June 19, 2000, at a Sioux City hospital, but he was a lifelong resident of the Hornick area. He was the son of Randy Allen and Cami Jo (Miller) Hammond. He was currently attending T-K at Lawton-Bronson, where he enjoyed learning to write his name and interact with friends at recess time.

He was baptized in the Presbyterian faith. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing at Dan's pond, going to the cabin, playing Playstation, going to McDonalds and having chicken and fries, playing with his brothers, watching cartoons with dad and getting carried to bed.

Survivors include his parents, Randy Allen and Cami Jo (Miller) Hammond of Hornick; two special brothers, Tanner and Hunter Hammond, both of Hornick; maternal grandparents, Ken and Betty Miller of Lawton, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Carl and Jeanette Hammond of Bronson, Iowa; a uncle and aunt, Blake and Rhonda Miller of Lawton; three cousins, Roni, Rae and Dakota Miller, all of Lawton; a uncle and aunt, Brad and Gina Stephens of Omaha; three cousins, Jake, Jessica and Jamie Stephens, all of Omaha; an aunt, Shelly Jensen of Bronson, Iowa; three cousins, Colton, Justin and Shannon Jensen; and great-grandparents, Helen and Peter Hunter of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his other great-grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Kirk Reynolds, Jason Dannenberg, Jeff Butler, Shane Mitchell, Brett VanMeter, Mark Braaten and Mark Davies.
