27 March 2004LAWTON, Iowa -- Pearl Mae Ellison, 92, of South Sioux City, formerly of Lawton, died Friday, March 26, 2004, at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, with the Rev. Wayne Peach officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. today, with the family present 4 to 6 p.m., at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.
Pearl Mae Ellison was born May 15, 1911, at Lawton, to Warren and Emma (Henrich) Stilwell. She attended Lawton country school.
She married Albert Harvey Ellison on Sept. 30, 1936, at Lawton.
She was a member of Community Presbyterian Church of Lawton. Pearl's hobbies included gardening, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include two sons, Gary and his wife, Sylvia Ellison of Onawa, Iowa, and Richard and his wife, Dawn Ellison of Lawton; five grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife, Sherri Ellison of Omaha, Neb., Cynthia and her husband, Doug Kuhlmann of Onawa, Rick and Sue Ellison of Sioux City, Kevin Ellison of Portland, Ore., and Chris and his wife, Jina Ellison of Portland.; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Minnie Held; and four brothers, Lester Stilwell, Orville Stilwell, Clarence Stilwell and Howard Stilwell.
Memorials will be donated to Lawton Fire and Rescue.
