LAWTON, Iowa -- Glann J. "Buddy" Davis, 79, of Dunlap, Iowa, formerly of Lawton, died Wednesday, July 30, 2003, at Alegent Health Community Memorial Hospital in Missouri Valley, Iowa.

Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Banner Township Cemetery, Lawton, with the Rev. Alex Washington officiating. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Christy-Smith Morningside Chapel in Sioux City.

Mr. Davis was born May 14, 1924, in Woodbury County, Iowa, the son of Sanford E. and Estella M. (Burger) Davis. He grew up and lived on the family farm near Lawton up until 1990, when he moved to VODEC Care Home Facility in Council Bluffs, Iowa. He worked at the VODEC Vocational Center from 1990 to 1998.

He was of the Methodist faith.

Survivors include two nephews, David Anderson and his wife, Sandra of Hershey, Neb., and Ken Lawyer of Longmont, Colo.; a niece, Eurelene Anderson of Johnson City, Texas; his friend, Marilyn R. Mefford of Dunlap; 10 grandnieces and grandnephews; and all his friends at the VODEC Care Home Facility.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Charles, Jacob and William; and two sisters, Grace Anderson and Nora Olson.
