SIOUX CITY | Lorraine C. Palmer, 85, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at a local nursing home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Online condolences may be made at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Lorraine was born on Dec. 20, 1927, in Plainview, Neb., the daughter of Fred and Katheren (Henry) Senseney.

She married Thomas Palmer. To this union four children were born. He preceded her in death on Feb. 27, 2010, in Sioux City.

Lorraine enjoyed gardening and flowers. She was extremely strong in her faith.

Survivors include her children, Jerry (Rae Ann) Palmer of Sioux City, Fred Palmer of Sioux City, Julie (Bill) Danderand of Naperville, Ill., and Stacy (Dave) Peel of Davenport, Iowa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Joyce and Marge.
