FARMER DIES AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS

John F. Johnson died in his home at Lawton Saturday after a lingering illness. He was 66 years old.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. M. Zike of Moville in Westcott's undertaking parlor, Sioux City, Tuesday afternoon. Willer Bros quartet sang. Burial was made in Graceland cemetery. The pallbearers were W. F. McNaughton, Gus Newberg, Louis Ingwerson, Art Marquart, Frank Marquart, Herbert Marquart.

John Fritjof Johnson was born December 31, 1864, near Alingsas, Sweden. In the spring of 1868 he came to America with his parents and a sister. They settled in Illinois and later came to Iowa. For thirty-five years Mr. Johnson had lived in the neighborhood of Shenandoah. In 1886 he and Miss Elizabeth Olson were married. She died in 1914. In the spring of 1916 he and Miss Emma Bappe were united in marriage. Mrs. Johnson died a year ago.

Surviving are four brothers and two sisters.
