SIOUX CITY | Christina “Chrissy” M. Jacobs, 21, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, due to an unexpected illness.

A funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Church, with the Very Rev. Armand J. Bertrand officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with family present from 6-8 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com

Chrissy was born Dec. 27, 1991, to Joseph “Joe” and Elizabeth “Betty” (Sampers) Jacobs. She graduated from East High School in 2010. She worked in sales in the retail business. She loved to go shopping and loved spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed art and was very proud of her new car and loved working at her job. Chrissy was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Chrissy is survived by her parents, Joe and Betty Jacobs of Sioux City; seven siblings, Angie (Troy) Bird of Lawrence, Kan., Wendy Erickson and significant other Mike Wingert of Sioux City, Joseph (Cindy) Erickson of Sioux City, James (Victoria) Erickson of Glenwood, Iowa, Sarah Clay of Sioux City, Matthew Jacobs of Sioux City and Mark Jacobs of Sioux City; nieces and nephews, Amber Temple, Danielle and Taylor Bird, Christopher, Joseph, Morgan, Donovin, Isabella and Briahna Erickson, and Savanah Walker; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Wayne and Mary Jean Jacobs; maternal grandparents, James and Vivian Sampers; and an uncle, James W. Sampers.
