Judith A. Brewer, 70, of Sioux City, died Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City, with the Rev. Bobie Themm-Martinez officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

Judith was born Feb. 12, 1942, in Sioux City, the daughter of Alvie and Marian (Bowman) Mapes.

She enjoyed playing bingo and collecting dolls. She liked music and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a loving person and had a special heart.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 54 years, Clarence Brewer of Sioux City; two sons, Larry (Brenda) Brewer of Sioux City, and Bobby Connor; five daughters, Mamie Pippitt (fiancé Matthew Tripp), Florence Brewer, Judith (Rick) Anderson, and Roza (Dean) Kinnaman, all of Sioux City, and June (Robert) Feller of Dakota City; three brothers, Clarence "Pete" (Toni) Mapes, Alvie "Bud" (Linda) Mapes, and Herbie Mapes (fiancée Judy Williams), all of Sioux City; three sisters, June (Jerry) Mohr and Florence Kenney, all of Sioux City, and Jeannie Houts of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Clarence Brewer III; a brother, William Mapes; two grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
