3 December 2012SIOUX CITY | Rodney "Rod Dog" Snyder, 28, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.
Abiding by Rod's wishes, his body was cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel, with Deacon Andrew Pierson of Mount Zion Baptist Church officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
Rodney was born Dec. 6, 1983, in Sioux City, the son of Robbie and Lynn (Becker) Snyder. Rodney attended Sioux City Public Schools.
In his free time, Rodney enjoyed the older models of the Chevy Impala and Caprice; a good dice game; his two dogs, Miley and Zoey; and spending time with his fiancee, Kandy Fiscus, with a very special love for her children, Keynan and Graicee Fiscus. Rodney will always be remembered as a kind and generous person.
Rodney is survived by his parents, Robbie and Lynn Snyder; his fiancee and her children, Graicee and Keynan Fiscus of Sioux City; one brother, Richard Snyder and special friend, Kammie Beerends and his son of Sioux City; two sisters, Mary Council and her two children of Georgia, and Brittney Wilson of Arizona; grandparents, Richard and Shirley Becker of Sioux City, Ronald and Fran Snyder of Sioux City, and Richard and Delores Larson of Bella Vista, Ark.; future mother and father-in-law, Jim and Bonnie Fiscus; future brother-in-law, Cody and his wife Jessica Fiscus, and their children; as well as several uncles, aunts and cousins.
Rodney was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and one aunt, Leah Becker.
