LAWTON. Iowa — Georgian M. Sparr, 90, of Lawton died Sunday. Nov. 26. 2000, at her residence.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bethel Lutheran Church in Lawton, with the Rev. Bruce Jackson officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Christy-Smith Morninside Chapel in Sioux City.

Mrs. Sparr was born Jan. 13. 1910, in the Anthon, Iowa, area, the daughtu of Fred and Blanche (Joseph) Couch. She moved with her family to Lawton as a young girl. She graduated from Lawton High School and attended Business College in Sioux City.

She married Julius Sparr on Aug. 24, 1930, in Lawton. She was employed as an occupational therapist with St. Joseph Hospital and St. Luke's Hospital in Sioux City. Her husband died Jan, 5, 1984.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid, She also played the piano for the church.

Survivors include two sons and their wives. Fred and Joyce of Hinton, Iowa. and James and Gail of Lawton; two dauahters Lorna and her husband, Vaughn Paradise of Denver, and Norma Sparr of Lawton; a sister. Josephine Frye of Newark, Ohio: 13 grandchildren: 32 great -grandchildren: and three great-great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a sister, Emma Sager::and a great-grandchild.
