SIOUX CITY | Ursula M. Jaeschke of Deltona, Fla., formerly of Sioux City, died Nov. 1, 2012, following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Per her request, the body was cremated. She was remembered by her family and friends at a small private service.

Mrs. Jaeschke was born on Dec. 11, 1938, in Kreveld, Germany. She came to the United States on April 13, 1960, with her husband, Glenn Ashcraft and her daughter, Kelly. They later divorced. She married Carl Jaeschke on Aug. 5, 1989. She was employed with Sears, and later at First National Bank and Riverboat Inn. She retired to Florida in 2004.

She enjoyed teaching conversational German at Western Iowa Tech Community College. She loved to travel and enjoyed crocheting.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Anbach and her husband, Bob of Bensenville, Ill.; a granddaughter, Nicole Anbach of Deland, Fla.; a sister, Gitta Karker and her husband, Hans of Krefeld, Germany; and best friends, Bill and Donna Danker of Sergeant Bluff.

She was preceded in death by her husband; and her parents.
