Mary Osipowicz, 78, of Correctionville, a former Sioux City resident, died Monday, Feb. 20, 1995, at a Royal Palm Beach, Fla., nursing home after a seven-month illness.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic CHurch in Anthon with Monsignor Richard E. Zenk officiating. Burial will be in Mount St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Anthon. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m. and a vigil wake service at 7:30 p.m. at the Walter-Armstrong Funeral Home in Anthon.

Mrs. Osipowicz was born Nov: 4, 1916, in Sioux City, the daughter of Andrew and Mary (Buliszak) Macur. She married Edward Osipowicz Sept. 20, 1936, in Sioux City. The couple lived in Sioux City for 10 years prior to moving to the Sloan area. They later moved to Anthon where they lived for three years. In 1951, they moved to Correctionville where they operated the Ritz Theater for 17 years. He died May 10, 1981.

Mrs. Osipowicz was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Altar and Rosary Societies.

She did volunteer work at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Correctionville.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Denny and Kathy of Fort Madison; a daughter and her husband, Marlene and Frank Eickholt of Royal Palm Beach, Fla.; a brother and his wife, Ted and Elma Macur of Fremont, Calif.; a sister and her husband, Jeanette and George Steinfeld of Sioux City; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Macur and a grand son, Edward W. Eickholt.
