SLOAN, Iowa — John Weber, 102, of Sloan died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 1990, in Pleasant View Nursing Home in Whiting.

Services will be at 11,a.m. Friday in St. John's Evangelical Church, German City, with Pastor Walter G. Enstrom officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery at German City. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Thursday with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. in Wood Funeral Home in Sloan.

Mr. Weber was born Oct. 15, 1887, rural Hornick, near German City where he attended country school. On Jan. 26, 1910, he married Minnie C. Burkhart, rural Hornick. He was a lifetime area farmer, moving into Sloan in 1953. Mrs. Weber died Oct. 31, 1973, at Onawa.

Mr. Weber was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Church in German City.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Lillie Weber of Hornick; two stepgrandsons, Ronald of Smithiand and Norman of Salt Lake City, Utah; three step-granddaughters, Sharon Prichard of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Dennis (Susan) Wiggs of Onawa and Mrs. John (Vicki) Marks of Omaha; several step-great-grandchildren and step-great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant son, Joyce; a son, Darrel in 1988; three brothers and two sisters
