LaDonna M. Litzenberger, 88, of Pleasant Prairie Wis., formerly of Sioux City, died at Aurora Hospital on July 17, 2011, surrounded by her loving family.

Memorial services were held July 20 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kenosha, Wis. Arrangements were under the direction of Casey Family Options Funeral and Cremation in Racine, Wis. Condolences may be sent online to www.eFamilyOptions.com .

She was born in Ida Grove, Iowa, on Sept. 14, 1922, to the late Harley and Bessie (Burke) Wallace. LaDonna graduated in 1941 from Ida Grove High School. She moved and lived in Sioux City from 1943 to 1985, where she worked at Dyna Technology.

She married Siegmund Pallasch on Dec. 4, 1942. He preceded her in death. LaDonna married James Litzenberger in 1968, and he would precede her death, too.

LaDonna was one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She loved sharing Bible truths with all those she met. One of her favorite Scriptures is John 5:28,29. Jehovah's promise of resurrection was of great importance to her and she was greatly comforted by the Scriptures. LaDonna will also be dearly missed and treasured for her wit, humor and beautiful talent for the piano. One of her greatest joys, however, was spending time with her family and friends. LaDonna truly loved and cared for everyone in her life and left those that loved her with a smile and laugh on their face and in their hearts.

LaDonna is survived by two children, James (Sandy Gorsett) Pallasch of Kenosha, Wis., and Sandra (Jay Sr.) Volling of Bristol, Wis.; six grandchildren, Tammy (Billy) Malloy, Staci (Jesse) Anderson, Jay (Carey) Volling Jr., Todd (Carol) Volling, Kimberlie (Brandon) Bussiere, and Chad Volling; along with eight great-grandchildren, Kea, Kasey, Keaton, Derek, Jake, Ashton, Olivia and Ian.

A special thanks from the family to Bright Star and Right at Home and all those who lovingly helped.
