Stewart E. Rustwick, 84, of Sioux City died Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at a local care facility.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Private graveside services will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Saturday, with a Masonic service at 12:45 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Stewart was born on April 8, 1928, to Ella (Swenson) and Sivert Rustwick. He was raised in Sioux City, where he attended Bryant Elementary, North Junior High and graduated from Central High School in 1946. He also attended Morningside College. He entered the Armed Forces in 1946 and earned his wings with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, N.C.

Stewart married Marcia Maskell on July 5, 1952, in Sioux City. He was employed with H.J. Heinz Co. in Des Moines and Sioux City. He was hired in 1967 as the food service director to expand the school lunch program to all Sioux City Community Schools, retiring in 1990.

Stewart and Marcia enjoyed their summer home on Lake Clitherall, Minn., and their acreage outside of the Sioux City limits. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Triangle Lodge 643, Sioux City Consistory, Abu Bekr Shrine Foot Patrol and White Horse Mounted Patrol.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia; sons and their wives, Scott and Sandy Rustwick of Sioux City, and Steve and Debbie Rustwick of Sabin, Minn.; grandchildren, Chad Rustwick and his wife, Michelle, Crista Limoges and her husband, Tom; and great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Logan Limoges, and Rylee Rustwick, all of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Elmer; and a sister, Signey.
