Anita Morey, 55, of Sioux City passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Kenny Hsu officiating. Burial of her cremains will be at a later date. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Anita was born on April 5, 1957, in Minneapolis, to Marvin LeRoy and Anita (Bartelt) Wayman. She graduated from Allen High School and obtained her RN degree from Western Iowa Tech Community College.

She was united in marriage to Mike Morey Sr. on Nov. 10, 1976 in Dakota City.

Anita enjoyed Facebook and playing Farmville. She also enjoyed crafts, reading, crossword puzzles, spending time with and spoiling her grandchildren, nieces and nephews and making everyone smile. She also enjoyed traveling to visit with family.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Morey Sr. of Sioux City; daughter, Wanita (Roger) Lane of South Sioux City; son, Michael Jr. (Stephanie) Morey of Sioux City; daughter, Michelle Morey and significant other, Michael; eight grandchildren, Christopher Jones, Marcus Lane, Travis Jones, Jacob Switzer, Michael Siebens, Lynzee Siebens, Autumn Morey and Shaylee Siebens; and a great-grandson, Adrian Jones.

She was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Jeff Wayman and Marvin Jr.; and twin sisters, Jean and Jane.
