Wilbur “Bill” Seehusen, 77, of Early, Iowa, formerly of Pierson, died Saturday, October 18, 1997, at his residence.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Pierson United Methodist Church with the Rev. Keith Pals officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Cemetery of rural Correctionville, Iowa. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. today at the Earnest and Michaelson Funeral Home in Kingsley, Iowa.

Mr. Seehusen was born Feb. 21, 1920 in Battle Creek, Iowa, the son of Harry and Freda (Ramm) Seehusen. He was raised and attended school in the Battle Creek area.

He married Mildred Riordan on Oct. 24, 1942 in Tacoma, Wash.

He worked at the shipyards in Washington, then returned to Iowa. He then lived in California for 30 years and retired from trucking in 1980. He lived in Sioux City, Pierson and the last year in Early.

He was a member of Pierson United Methodist Church and the Teamsters.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Karen and her husband, Jay Nehring of Early and Elizabeth Poloway of Anaheim, Calif.; two sisters, Betty Vaughn of Correctionville and Ruby Anderson of Battle Creek; four granddaughters, Khristyl Imhof, Danielle and Michelle Poloway and Liberty Nehring.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles and Earl and a grandson, Dominic Mandicino.
