Judy Ray Keleher, 70, of Sioux City passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2012, at her residence following a brief illness.

Per her wishes, the body was cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Condolences may be sent online to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Judy was born on June 28, 1941, in Sioux City, the daughter of Freeman and Beth (Bush) Cobb. She received her education at Sioux City schools. She had been a lifelong Sioux City resident.

Judy married Wilbur Keleher on Aug. 23, 1957, in Elk Point, S.D. They later divorced. Judy worked for Zenith for several years and really enjoyed her time there.

Her family was her greatest joy and the most important thing in her life. She enjoyed game shows, soaps, music, casinos and golf. She was an Iowa Hawkeye fan.

Judy is survived by three sons, Ted Keleher, Will Keleher, and Shawn (Ada) Keleher, all of Sioux City; three daughters, Beth Jacobsen and her special friend, John, Kelly Carnes, and Karen Keleher and her special friend, Ryan, all of Sioux City; four brothers, Don (Barb) Cobb and Jim Cobb and his special friend, Carol, all of Sioux City, Richard (Jackie) Cobb of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Larry Cobb of Glenwood, Iowa; four sisters, Patty (Neal) Cleveland, Nancy (Elroy) Altimus, Bev (Larry) Hanson and Penny (LeRoy) Hedemark, all of Sioux City; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her ex-husband, Wilbur; her significant other, Jack Hunnel; four sisters, Betty, Carol, Connie and Barb; a great-grandson, Christopher Jr.; a great-granddaughter, Aubree; and a son-in-law, Randy.
