Savaya L. Larson, 2-month old infant daughter of Heather Barnes and Lucas Larson of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly Feb. 12, 2012, at the family residence.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glenn Mixon of New Life in Christ Church officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Savaya was born Dec. 6, 2011, in Sioux City. Even though her life here on earth was short, her accomplishments were great. She already learned to love the song Angel, and her favorite color was red and it showed in her toys and clothes. She loved her daddy's kisses and her eyes lit up when she heard her grandpa's voice. She loved to caress herself to sleep by running her hands through her mommy's hair. Savaya was very lovable and also gave her love to others.

She is survived by her parents; grandparents, Jaime Alvarez and Wagner Leon of Sioux City, Grandpa Andrew Darley of Sioux City, Julie DeBuhr and Troy Finley of Sioux City; great-grandparents, Robin and Ervin Scott Jr. of Sioux City, Janice Bergstrom of Racine, Wis., and James Rieker of Scottsdale, Ariz.; great-great-grandparents, Ervin and Terie Sr. of Sioux Falls, S.D., and Janice Barnes of Sioux City; aunts, April Jasman of Sioux City, JoEllen George of Racine, and Amber O'Brien of Racine; and numerous aunts, uncles and extended family members.
