Cheryl Ann "Cheri" (Britton) Reibe, 65, of Cheyenne, Wyo., formerly of Sioux City, passed away from cancer Friday, July 6, 2012, at Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne.

A celebration of life service will be 3 p.m. Friday at Beacon Hill Baptist Church, 110 Central Ave., in Cheyenne.

Cheri was born on Sept. 7, 1946, in Sioux City, the daughter of Harold and Edna Britton. She attended Central High School in Sioux City.

She married Patrick D. Reibe on Dec. 31, 1965, in Nuevo Leon, Old Mexico. She had lived in Iowa, Texas, North Dakota, Colorado, England, and Wyoming. She was employed with the Wyoming Business Council at the Travel and Tourism Center on Highway 25 next to the Flying J. She loved her job because of all the wonderful visitors to Wyoming and that she could tell them where in Wyoming to go.

She loved nature, watching birds and all the wild animals. She also enjoyed gambling and loved watching football, especially the Denver Broncos. She loved spending time with all the kids she helped to raise, attending softball, baseball, skating, bowling, camping and fishing, except for the worms.

She was a former member of Sioux City Baptist Church and a current member of Beacon Hill Baptist Church. She exceptionally loved her family, children and grandchildren. She will be remembered for her huge and kind heart and her smile. She was a caretaker of children.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick D. Reibe of Cheyenne; her children, Tammie L. and Larry Roemer of Cheyenne, and Jessica L. Reibe of Casper, Wyo.; her grandchildren, Cory P. Roemer of Twentynine Palms, Calif., and Zachary R. Roemer of Houston, Texas; her great-grandchild, Kolby P. Plum of Cheyenne; and her brother, Clayton "Bud" and Robin Britton.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Britton, on Jan. 27, 2009; her mother, Edna Britton, on April 16, 2006; her son, Charles Dale Reibe; and a brother, James Britton.
