Delores P. Townsley, 85, of Sioux City passed away at her home on Monday, April 9, 2012, surrounded by her loving children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Services will be 5 p.m. Friday at Concordia Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Henry Witte officiating. The visitation will be 3 p.m. until service time Friday at the church. A luncheon will be held following the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff.

Delores was born on Dec. 17, 1926, in Sioux City, the daughter of Clyde and Vera (Ross) Castleton. She was also known as Dode, Mom, and Gram to many people. Delores loved her bingo and all of her bingo buddies.

Survivors include her two daughters, Vera Lopez and Phyllis (Gary) Stapleton; a son, Phillip (Denise) Townsley; and Gary Townsley, all of Sioux City. Delores was blessed with nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren due in September.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents; and seven siblings.

Delores was a blessing to everyone she knew.
