Glenda L. (Zenor) Lorenz, formerly of Lawton, passed away peacefully at her Omaha home on April 29, 2012. She defeated cancer for more than eight years before bravely succumbing to the disease.

A celebration of life service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Omaha, where she was a longtime member.

She was born on Dec. 5, 1938, in Lawton, Iowa. She was a 1959 graduate of St. Joseph Mercy Hospital's School of X-Ray. She began her career as an X-ray tech at Methodist Hospital in Sioux City in 1960 and later worked at Midlands Hospital in Papillion, Neb., for 23 years.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Steve Harasym of Medford, N.J.; son, Troy Lorenz of Gretna, Neb.; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Megan Lorenz of Phoenix, Ariz.; son and daughter-in-law, Chad and Liza Lorenz of Washington, D.C.; grandchildren, Jordan DePasquale, Curtis Weyerhaeuser, Casey Harasym, and Cole Harasym; a sister, Lila Bremer of Moville, Iowa; a brother and sister-in-law, Arlen and Clarice Zenor of Lawton; a brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Sonya Zenor of Ponsford, Minn; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marie (Hageman) Zenor; a sister, Marilyn Johnson of Oklahoma City; and a brother, Bernard Zenor of Lawton.

The family suggests donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
