February 21, 2012Gloria L. Carlson, 91, of Sioux City passed away Feb. 17, 2012.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Morningside Chapel, Christy-Smith Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent online to www.christysmith.com.
Gloria was born April 20, 1920, in Sioux City, to Samuel and Mary Bolden.
She enjoyed the Argosy, bowling, ocean cruises, puzzles, and baseball. She especially loved Harry Carey and the Cubs. Her grandkids were the light of her life.
Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Judy and Don Most and Bonnie and Denny Molden, all of Sioux City, Sandra and Ron Clarstrom of Andover, Minn., and Carol and Don Allaway Jr. of Akron, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and her sister, Velma and Sonny Closson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford; a great-grandson, Brice Hansen; brothers, Charles, Ed, and Clem; and her sisters, Cloe and Florence.
