Blanche Barry, age 87 of Arizona, and formerly of Danbury died Sunday, April 26.1998, at Peoria, Arizona.

Services were held 10:00 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Danbury with Rev. LeRoy Seuntjens officiating. Burial was in Danbury Catholic Cemetery,

Blanche Barry was born February 6, 1911, at Milbank, South Dakota, the daughter of Casper and Josephine (Turner) Amsden. In 1933, she was united in marriage to Vincent (Red) Barry in Danbury, Iowa. The couple lived in Danbury until moving to Kansas City, Missouri in 1956. They later moved to Clarinda, Iowa. He died in 1978. Blanche has lived in Sun City West Arizona for the past 22 years.

Survivors include two daughters, Sister Marilyn Barry of Taylor, South Carolina and Dr. Suzanne Ellis of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons, Don Barry of Richardson. Texas and
Tim Barry of Peoria, Arizona; three sisters, Agnes Bloomhall, Dorothy Storm and Delores
Youngdahl, one brother, Donald Amsden,10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers were Bryan Hall, Andrew Ellis, Kathryn Ellis. Michael Ellis, James Barry, John Barry and Jennifer Barry.

Arrangements were made under the direction of the Armstrong Funeral Home of Danbury- Mapleton.
