SIOUX CITY -- Tommy Dean Krommenhoek, 72, of Hamilton, Va., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday, April 9, 2012, at his home in Hamilton.

Private services were held. Arrangements were under the direction of Hall Funeral Home in Purcellville, Va. Online condolences may be posted at www.hallfh.com.

Tommy was born Aug. 24, 1939, in Iowa to Nicholas and Ethel Krommenhoek.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Sioux City.

He enjoyed fishing, collecting antique fishing equipment and training hunting dogs.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Gloria Krommenhoek of Hamilton; two sons, Kirk of Hamilton and Nicholas of Spring Dale, Ark.; three daughters, Janine Draper of Fairmont, Minn., Kathi Jo Morrison of Silver City, N.M., and Kimberly Winchester of Chocktaw, Okla.; his mother, Ethel Jesse Krommenhoek of Sioux City; two brothers, Richard and Darrell Krommenhoek, both of Sioux City; a sister, Janet Ream of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; his son, Tommy Dean Krommenhoek Jr.; and a sister, Judy Tott.

Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church in Sioux City or the American Lung Association.
