SIOUX CITY -- Anna Marie McClure, 91, of Sioux City went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2012 at a local care facility.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God Church in Sioux City. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service. Online condolences for the family may be made at www.waterburyfuneralserviceinc.com.

Anna was born on April 17, 1920, in Tribune, Kan., the daughter of Ralph and Annie (Nielsen) Wedgewood. She was united in marriage with Harry L. McClure. Harry preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 1999, in Sioux City.

Anna owned and operated the Ceramic Clay Shack in Riverside for many years. She loved to work with her hands dong ceramics, porcelain dolls and crocheting. She loved working in her lovely flower gardens, where she was always known to have a green thumb. She loved her little dogs, but the true delight in her life was her grandchildren. She enjoyed the family cookouts and dinners, and always looked out for her family. She was the true Matriarch of the McClure family.

Anna was a true Christian, who read her personal Bible from cover to cover 16 times and had recently begun her 17th reading. She was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Tri-State Ceramic Association, where she held many different offices during her tenure as a member.

She will be missed by her family, which includes her son, Jack McClure (Marie) of Kingsley, Iowa; her daughters, Mildred Tietsort (Ronal) of Rockford, Ill., and Pat Eslick of Sioux City; her daughter-in-law, Lorraine McClure of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by three stepbrothers, Roy Currans, Sam Currans and Glen Currans.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons, Richard and Robert; stepson, Terry Welchel; son-in-law, Tom Eslick; great-grandson, Brandon Eslick; one brother; and three sisters.
