SIOUX CITY -- Wanda L. Floyd, 53, of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, July 10, 2011, at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Georgia. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service.

Wanda was born Nov. 25, 1957, in Trion, Ga., the daughter of Ted and Anne (Jones) Floyd. Wanda was raised in northwest Georgia in Chattooga and Walker counties. She attended high school in Lafayette, Ga. In Georgia, she worked in the yarn textile industries as a twister. During 2004, she moved to Sioux City.

She loved her pet cats, reading, gardening and traveling.

Wanda is survived by her daughter, Hollie and her husband, Darrick Barclay of Homer, Neb.; two sons, Benjamin Moore of Lafayette, Ga., and William Black of Knoxville, Tenn.; her father, Ted Floyd of Trion, Ga.; her first husband, Glenn Moore; a special friend, Robert Brown; nine grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and many adoring friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anne; and three brothers, Earl Floyd, Randy Floyd and Kenneth Floyd.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to the angels of Mercy and Hospice of Siouxland.

Our sweet peach Wanda has finally made it home.
