Clifford C. Olson, 74, 3840 Grandview Blvd., Sioux City, died Wednesday, March 29 at a Scottsdale, Ariz., hospital after being stricken at his winter residence in Scottsdale.

Mr. Olson Was born January 19,1898, in Sioux City. He had lived in the Siouxland area most of his life, and was president of the Novelty Machine and Supply Company, which he had operated since 1946. He married Nina Coulson, June 14,1919, in Sioux City. She died in 1951. He married Yetta Wetzeler June 9,1954, in Sioux City. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Landmark Lodge 103, AF&AM, and the. Sioux City Scottish Rite bodies, and the Abu Bekr Shrirte Temple, the Sioux City Rotary Club, and the Engineers Club.

Survivors include the widow, four sons, Clifford J. of McCook Lake, James A. of Sioux City, Herbert T. of Minneapolis, and Gary E. of Detroit, Mich.; two daughters, Miss Betty L. Olson and Mrs. Nina J. Dufrane, both of Sioux City; 11. grandchildren, two great grandchildren, two brothers, Herbert of Aberdeen, S.D., and Kenneth of Lincoln, Nebr.,and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Sattler, Aberdeen.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at the Nelson-Berger Northside Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul A. Heath, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiated. Burial was in Memorial
Park Cemetery. Landmark Lodge conducted Masonic rites at the cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Lyle Jacobs, Cy Larsen, Earl Hilliker, EdMatz,Harold Rasmussen, and Al Tucker. Honorary pallbearers were Dwight Hauff, Frank Johnson, Kermit Scheibe, Russell Eidsmoe, Virgil Gerkin, Dewey Halford, Herb Hulse, and Jeff Buckner. A memorial in Mr. Olson's name has been established for the Shrine Crippled Children's hospitals.
