Mrs. William E.Carlson, 77, Sioux City, died last Thursday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church. Rev. Milton H. Nothdurft officiated. Burial was in Graceland Park Cemetery.

The former Palma S. Olson, Mrs. Carlson was born July 30, 1893, at Lawton. She was married to Mr. Carlson March 8, 1916, in Sioux City. She was a member of St. James United Methodist church and the Women's Society of Christian Service.

Survivors are her husband; a son, LeRoy (Bud) of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. A. J. (Joyce) McNamara of Sioux City and Mrs. William S. (Laura) Yeager of Akron; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
