Peggy Grace Pedersen, 64, of Spokane, Wash., formerly of South Sioux City and Moville, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 13, 1996, at the Holy Family Hospital in Spokane.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Evangelical Church of North America in South Sioux City with the Rev. David Alspach officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery in Moville. Visitation will be 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present after 7 p.m. at the Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City.

Mrs. Pedersen, the former Peggy Grace Matney, was born November 21, 1931, in Jackson, Nebr., the daughter of Harley O. and Rosie M (Gunsolley) Matney. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1949, and married Jens A. Pedersen Jr. on May 14, 1949, in Elk Point, S.D. The couple lived on the family farm near Moville until moving to Lakeside, Mont., in 1971. They moved to Spokane in 1988.

Mrs. Pedersen was a member of the Church of The Nazarene.

Survivors include her husband; three sons and their wives, Jens L. and Pam of Kalispell, Mont., Jan A. and Sulaine of Puyallup, Wash., and Rick L. and Shelley of Spokane; two daughters and their husbands, Tami and David Sevier and Amy and Justin Mathiason, all of Spokane; two brothers and their wives, Edward Sr. and Lillie of South Sioux City, and Harley and Vergean of Dakota City; and 17 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robin; a grandson, Christopher G.; a brother, Orville; and three sisters, Georgetta M. Border, Bonnie R. Hankins and Helen Leach.

Pallbearers will be Jens L., Rick L., Jan A. and Jens Pedersen, Justin Mathiason, David Sevier and Ernie Todd.
